Welcome to my bio page.  My name is Daniel Thomas Baker.   I answer to any form of Daniel, especially to relatives.  They never exactly remember my name all the time.  I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas in Spohn Hospital right on Ocean Drive April 30, 1979.  I am currently 22 years old.   I stand 6'0" tall with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.  I have an average build and a slight "beer gut".

I'm a real nice and outgoing person.  I can be shy and quiet at times, but it goes away after a while.  Some of my friends can really say that I have changed over the years.  I used to now hardly say anything at all.   I've learned over the years that sitting there and not doing or saying much.   Will get you no where in life.  So for all you quiet and shy people out there.   Get up and interact with people.  You'll be amazed at what the world will have to say to you.

I'm currently still here in Corpus Christi attending Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.  Just a few years back the school changed from Corpus Christi State University to the A&M system.  Shortly thereafter it became a four year college.  I have seen many of changes on campus in forms of programs and buildings.  The only major I have had besides Undeclared is Control Systems Engineering Technology.  What is that major you ask?  Well it's a form of engineering with computers and electronics.  It's not a specific field such as electrical or mechanical engineering.  It's a type of engineering with a much broader field of work.

I have fallen in love with the campus here and wouldn't go to any other school.  Well....I would go to Texas A&M - College Station.  But I'd probably party too much and have my grades go bad and then have to come back home.   So I decided to start of small and work my way up.  But the university got to me and I didn't want to leave.  Eventhough, I was accepted to A&M - College Station.

I only have one older brother and glad I didn't have any more.   He is a graduate of Texas A&M - College Station with a degree in Agriculture Business Management.  In other words....farming.  He is married to another graduate of Texas A&M - College Station, Mindy Otto.  She is originally from Manville, Texas outside of Houston.  She got a degree on Management Information Systems.  They are currently living in Pearland outside of Houston, Texas.

The rest of my family lives on the other side of town.  My Mom, Stepdad, and Stepsister live in a nice subdivision on 2.5 acres of land.  We have a nice one story three bedroom, two bath house.  It's nothing grand but it's something we call home.  The old house and neighborhood seemed to be getting smaller.  We wanted and needed more space so we packed up and moved.  We have only been at our new house for a few years.  We moved from our original house after I graduated from Tuloso-Midway in 1997.  Where my stepsister is currently a sophomore at T-M.

That's about all I have to say.  If you have read this far down I appreciate it.  Until next time, take care.

Well this is one of those days to end all days.  Just broke up with my current girlfriend of about 8 months.  Just because she wanted more from our relationship that I couldn't give.  She wanted someone with more in common along the lines of religion.  She is a born and raised Catholic.   I told her I'm not going to change and didn't expect her to either for our relationship.  So we parted on good terms and will see how things are going.

She was a good friend and love.  I will never forget all the new friends and memories I have made.  She will always have a special place in my heart.  I just hope that our friendship will still be there after we get over our seperation.  I'll keep ya posted.

Sorry for the late update.  Just been busy with life and school and girflriend.  We are back together to try and build more onto what we already have.  Things haven't been the easiest but I'm willing to stick with it.

This past weekend was kinda a waste.   Didn't get the things accomplished that I wanted to get done.  The weather forcasters said rain all weekend and it ended up with some showers on Friday afternoon and clear all weekend.  Grrr at the TV forcasters, and to think I thought they were the best.

Also been trying to keep up with classes.   They can get hectic at times.  Need to make sure I pass my next tests and keep up with my work to pass everything.  It's not like I won't pass, but I want something other then a D or a C for the class.

Been trying to get one of my projects done with very little success.  I got the projet working and just need to rebuid it.   It's hard to have to go to another school for good equipment.  We have a brand new building with some equipment.  None of which is what I need.  So I am having to work around someone elses schedule to get my things done.  I think it's wrong and very frustrating.  I have to wait an whole another week to get back to the equipment I need.  That's it for now.

Stay tuned for pics since I got my digital camera.

Well, sorry for the long delay.   School, life, and girlfriend(no particular order) have taken much of my time.   If you look around my website, especially my truck section, you will see some of the pics I have taken with it.  By far one of the best investments I've made.   Get the feeling I'm going to be using it alot.

This week is finals week, yay(sarcastic).   While my friends and girlfriend are already done by Tuesday the 11th.  I'm stuck doing final until Thursday morning.  I guess I can manage while everyone around me sleeps in and has fun.

My sweet, beautiful and wonderful girlfriend of mine has been putting up with me.  Besides the ups and downs of a normal relationship.  We have been doing fine in putting up with one another, j/j Amber.  I couldn't see myself without her understanding, compasion, and love for me.   If I didn't have her I would have been lonely for a while.  I'm picky at who I choose.  It's something I learned so as to not get hurt so easily.  I'm not saying that love and breaking up doesn't hurt.  But the memories and love will last longer if you choose the right one.

My Thanksgiving was about the same as it is every year.  Don't get me wrong I enjoy it every year.  Family and friends and lots of food and of course football (Titans).  I'm not complaining about that.   So don't get me wrong, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Now it's the joyous time of the year, Christmas.  It hasn't felt like Christmas lately becuase as soon as it gets down into the 40's.  By the end of the week we are atleast into the 70's.  What kind of crappy weather is that.  I guess the saying is true around here, give it a week or day and it will change.  Which always seems to hold true down here in South Texas.   I still have some shopping to do for my family.  I'll get that done by the end of the week with no problem.  No Amber, I'm still not going to tell you what I got you for Christmas.  You'll have to wait for the surprise.

That about wraps this up for now.  I won't make an update unless I'm back here at my apartment or when I get back here in January.  Hopefully I'll have my project working, projects on my truck finished, passed my semester, and got some partying out of the way.  Until then, take care and be safe.
